Freethought Alliance  

The  Freethought Alliance is an organization which organizes conferences in metropolitan areas from the support of local freethinking groups. groups in the area are supporting this.    OCFA is our first conference.

Freethought Alliance will be streching it's wings to other areas in the United States soon.  Each region conference will have a formation of local secular groups to support the conferences.

Many local groups are small and do not have the funds or time to support a large conference with influencial speakers on their own.  But combine all of them in one area and you have a powerful force from the freethought community to support a confernece. We help organize these groups so they can hold their conference locally..

For several years I have felt that there was a need for a freethought conference in Orange County which is a fairly conservative area of southern California.  There are many small groups in the area and larger annual national groups such as AAI, but no regional conferences. Hence, my desire to sponsor a regional meeting place has spurred me to create OCFA. 

I manage Backyard Skeptics, a grass-roots local group with a heavy atheist 'bent' to it.  We hold monthly meetings and support the free-thinkers of Orange County, CA.  See backyardskeptics.com for more info

Backyard Skeptics also holds many other events such as dinner-and-a-movie nights, dinner meetings, sports events and shared outing with other freethought groups in the area.

I also produce Orange County's only Atheist cable TV show call Orange County Atheist Cable TV Show, which is viewable on youtube. 

My professional business is video production. DVDs of this event will be available after the conference through my company, Thumbs Up Video.
